Led by composer and Artistic Director Jeajoon Ryu, Ensemble OPUS operates as a flexible collective. Its core members—among them Sangjin Kim (Va), Hanna Lee (Va), Han Kim (Cl), Hongpark Kim (Hn), Ji Won Song (Vn), So-Ok Kim (Vn), Sung Kwon You (Bn), Jungran Lee (Vc), Kyu Yeon Kim (Pf), Ilya Rashkovskiy (Pf), Sunghyun Cho (Fl), Inhyuk Cho (Cl), Inhyuk Choi (Trp), and Moonkyung Han (Per)—have collaborated over many years, cultivating a high level of ensemble cohesion and a distinctly articulated musical language.
Ensemble OPUS explores a wide-ranging repertoire, spanning historical masterworks and contemporary compositions. By placing music of our time in dialogue with the classical canon, the ensemble continually re-examines the expressive and structural possibilities of chamber music through carefully conceived programs.
