Third king of Goguryeo, Daemooshin Moohyool, the first year.

In an attempt to find his sister Seryu, Moohyool enters the Forest of Myonglim.

Myonglim is a place where numerous people were massacred convicted of betrayal during the era of preceding king Yuri.

Here in this place he encounters Setani Hyeahb who is a lover of deceased Haemyong prince and is leading the army of his. And a past-and-present intermingled exorcism takes place between Haemyong prince, who had killed himself by the order of father Yuri, and the souls of those who devotedly followed him.

Moohyool, leading Haemyong's army, purges the vassal of preceding authority to reinforce the current one and clarifies that he would pursue the ideal world Budo.

Yeon, who was Moohyool's first wife and only love when he was prince, dies in an attempt to save his son, Hodong. However, as he grows up an inevitable bloodshed between his father Moohyool and him surfaces contrasting ideals between his father and him.

On the other hand, queen Yiji, who has entered into the marriage of convenience for sole aim of wealth of position of queen, falls in love with Moohyool in a glance and intervenes between bloodshed of the father and son.

Moohyool's war for the power of kingdom is endless and the queen's love and hatred towards the King reaches its pitch. Thus the tragedy of filicide begins once again and……
