The Two Masters’ Unchangeable Fun

It was in Seoul during mid-1990s. Sohn Young Man who had lived in Kimcheon came to Seoul to perform a Nongak would meet a woman who slapped his face all of a sudden. She was the master Yoo Soon Ja. She excused, ＂I＇m sorry to slap your face although you are a stranger to me. I slapped you in the hope that you would not forget me. I wish you would understand.＂ Actually, she was pleased to know the Gyeongsang-do man who was a master not only in singing and dancing but also in playing the musical instruments. She was really happy to meet him. Since then, they met with each other once or twice a year when a Nongak festival was held, because they lived in different rigions with their different scope of activities. They could just confirm their existence and safety. Thus, they could not have an opportunity to perform the traditional music together.

The joint performance of the two masters both of whom have performed the Nongak for 30 and some years would be realized in 2023 Yeowoorak Festival. Their fun and their disciples＇ attempts would provide the audience with an end-game of the fun that has yet to be ended.
