Seoul Metropolitan Opera presents 'Macbeth', an opera by Guiseppe Verdi and based on Shakespear's play, in the Sejong Grand Theater from Nov.24 to 27. Macbeth is an opera in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi with an Italian libretto by Francesco Maria Piave and additions by Andrea Maffei, based on William Shakespeare's play of the same name. As one of Shakespeare's four tragedies, the piece observes the damaging effects of political ambition on those who seek power for its own sake.
The production will be presented by a exquisite and delicate conductor, Koo Jahbom, and a renowned sensual director Koh Sunwoong.

Synopsis
