〈FUGUE〉

Meet Bach’s masterpiece through the movements of leading dancers of Korea.
〈FUGUE〉 is a dance performance through which seven talented dancers will recreate Bach’s Fugue music with rich ex-pression and captivating dance movements. The performance has been choreographed by JUNG Young-Doo, whose unique choreographic talents and outstanding musical sense has already been acknowledged through previous projects including 〈A Seventh Man (2010)〉 and 〈Forethought-Prometheus Fire (2012)〉. The choreography for 〈FUGUE〉 carries JUNG＇s careful analysis of every single note and beat within “Die Kunst der Fuge” and embodies feature of the music where each part plays individual yet harmonious melody.

Harmony and Synergy Created by Seven Leading Dancers
〈FUGUE〉 has brought attention with its line-up including KIM Ji-young and Eum Jae-yong, the Korean ballet stars who are also principal dancers in Korean National Ballet and Universal Ballet. YOON Jun-il, who has been celebrated for powerful movement and impressive techniques, is also joining the crew. CHOI Yong-seung, KIM Ji-hye, DO Hwang-joo and HA Mira with their delicate collaboration skills are joining as well, creating a distinct group of seven outstanding dancers. Like individual instrument creating harmony in top orchestras, the seven dancers will be performing to the music as one.
