In June 2014, the classic Broadway musical returns to the stage!
The only love story for this summer, the Broadway musical, <A Tale of Two Cities>

Based on Charles Dickens’ novel of the same title, holding a Guinness record as the world’s best-selling book in the history of literary fiction with well over 200 million copies sold, the Broadway musical, <A Tale of Two Cities> is a musical depicting a desperate love triangle, in magnificent settings with beautiful musical numbers against the backdrop of tumultuous French Revolution. The musical had been premiered in Korea at the grand hall of Chungmoo Art Center in 2012, and the second Korean production was also performed at the Charlotte Theater last year. This is a musical acclaimed as a return of the classic Broadway musical, by the domestic critics, for its perfect musical adaptation of the masterpiece.

An outstanding musical! The most distinguished cast!

In the upcoming run, the two actors – Lee Geon-myung known for having a big fandom thanks to his stable acting and powerful vocal and Han Ji-sang, a new rising star enjoying huge popularity after his recent performances as the main cast for several ‘high-profile’ musicals - will be sharing the leading role, Sydney Carton, a man of strong character and dedicated for pure and noble love. The other two actors – Jung Dong-ha, a rock singer-turned-musical actor and Park Seong-hwan, another rising star who has played multiple characters – will be performing Charles Darnay, another male protagonist who resists against his fate. For the role of Lucie Manette, a beautiful lady beloved by the two men, Kim Ah-seon, famous for her bold style of acting and clear voice, is casted. Also, the two veteran actresses – Lee Hye-gyung and Sonia – are double-casted for the role of a tragic woman named Madame Defarge, who bent on a revenge after losing her family by an aristocrat.
