The musical Hedwig is a rock musical written by John Cameron Mitchell, the original cast of the musical, and composed by the original guitarist, Stephen Trask. The musical is a concert-style performance, given by the fictional East German transgender rock singer Hedwig, her husband Yitzhak, and the band Angry Inch. Hedwig’s monologue is based on the backdrop of the ballroom of Hotel Riverview, a slummy hotel located on the Hudson River in New York’s western village, where the survivors of 1912 Titanic stayed. With rough and crude animation, and mind blowing punk rock, Hedwig is still recording sold-out shows in over 80 cities around the world.

The most stylish rock musical of this century since its premier in Korea in 2005, musical Hedwig has become one of the most celebrated musicals in Korea, with over 85% ticket sales per year.
