*Synopsis - MISO "Love Songs from Chunhyang"

 

MISO, or Beautiful Smile, is based on The Tale of Chunhyang, the classical Korean story of the two lovers, Chunhyang and Mongryong.

 

Act1. Love
As the people in the village enjoy the Dano festival and traditional pastimes, love buds between Mongryong and Chunhayang, and Byeon Hakdo feels his first stirrings of unrequited love for Chunhyang.

Act2. Farewell
Hakdo's unanswered love drives him to forge an order from the king to separate Chunhyang and Mongryong. Taken in by his scheme, the two lovers are forced to apart.

Act3. Ordeal
Once Mongryong is gone, Hakdo begins wooing Chunhyang aggressively and persistently, but she is unswerving in her devotion and willing to put her life on the line for it.

Act4. Reunion
Just as Chunhyang is about to be put to death, the newly appointed secret royal inspector Mongryong arrives to Hakdo, and the two lovers go on to Exchange their wedding vows.

*Synopsis - MISO "Love Songs from Chunhyang"

 

MISO, or Beautiful Smile, is based on The Tale of Chunhyang, the classical Korean story of the two lovers, Chunhyang and Mongryong.

 

Act1. Love
As the people in the village enjoy the Dano festival and traditional pastimes, love buds between Mongryong and Chunhayang, and Byeon Hakdo feels his first stirrings of unrequited love for Chunhyang.
