Daejeon Yongmun JNK Classic Hotel

This was my first visit, and the value for money is good so I think I'll use it again.!

The parking lot is very cramped. The owner is unfriendly. They only turned on the hot water after I called. Overall the lighting was dim so my eyes were uncomfortable. It is inconvenient for a family to stay. The bathroom is spacious, the TV is large, and I liked that the remote even controls the air conditioner. It is close to Lotte Department Store, so it is convenient to buy Seongsimdang cakes and bread.

Check-in time was earlier than at other places, so I used it and had a good one-night stay. There was parking, but it was cramped. If possible, I think it is better to visit without a car! The room condition itself was average. It felt like an attic-sized room perfect for staying alone. Soundproofing did not seem very good, but I could still stay comfortably for a night. What I found disappointing was that the bathroom switch was like the photo, making it very inconvenient to turn the light on and off. Also, I wanted to use the PC, but the game would not run. Those things were disappointing.

Even though I arrived late, they welcomed me warmly and I am very grateful. The facilities were clean and nice. I recommend it to others.

I arrived 5 minutes early and they asked why I came so early. The person at the counter kept saying "what" — is that appropriate? There was a room available. First they said there wasn't and that it needed to be cleaned so I had to wait, then they kept muttering to themselves before giving me the room key. When they handed over the key they complained again about me arriving early, and when I said "should I cancel then?" they replied "just kidding." I was speechless. I've never seen someone like this, whether staff or owner...

It was really awful, do not go. The staff were extremely rude and had no manners. I had a reservation to check in at 2:00, but they said it hadn’t been cleaned and they forgot, so they made me wait until 3:25. They didn’t even apologize — just handed over the key and that was it. When I complained out of frustration, they said, “We were busy yesterday,” as if that excused it. I wanted to move nearby but couldn’t cancel, so I checked in in a bad mood. Even though I waited for cleaning, they hadn’t replaced the bedding. I called the front desk and they hurried the cleaning, but when I said the bedding hadn’t been changed, the man didn’t apologize; he used a really annoyed tone, sighed like “ah.. ha…,” and acted like I was making a scene. He said he would check and replace it, then immediately hung up. Also, there’s a sign saying if foreigners give a 5-star review you get free ramen. Don’t be fooled by claims of friendliness — the whole experience left me feeling really disgusted.
