Gangneung Top Ocean

I came to see the Dano Festival and booked this since it was close to Anmok Beach, and it exceeded my expectations — very satisfying! First, the location was excellent~! It is less than a 5-minute walk to Anmok Beach, so it was very convenient to visit the coffee street and nearby restaurants. The ocean view that opens up when you open the window was so pretty. Just listening to the waves and looking out the window felt healing! The bedding and room were clean, and the area was quiet so I slept well at night. If I come back to this area, I will definitely stay again!

I found this place while looking for my own restful spot on the refreshing East Coast beach. Breathing in the oxygen coming from the pine grove and the sea, listening to the waves as I walked, I decided on a nearby place ^Gangneung Top Ocean^ as my lodging. The interior was clean and fresh. I enjoyed a rare relaxing time drinking coffee while looking at the wide open sea. Breathing sleep-inducing fresh air is nature's greatest gift. The photos I took inside disappearedㅠㅠ.

If you want to enjoy an ocean view at a reasonable price, this seems like the best place. It was great since Anmok Beach is literally right in front of the property.

This was the accommodation we used during our couple trip to Gangneung. The ocean view from the room was truly beautiful, and it was convenient for sightseeing because Anmok Coffee Street was nearby. Great value for a couple to relax, quiet, clean room, and overall comfortable. Highly recommend for couple trips. We intend to revisit on our next Gangneung trip…

This place has a view where you can hear the waves all day while lying in bed — it's amazing!! I was surprised by the ocean view as soon as I walked into the room, and the sound of the waves, so close like you're sitting on the beach, was really lovely. Also, the location is great because it's near Anmok Coffee Street and Anmok Beach. Gelato shops and cafes that are popular are all within walking distance. I was worried because of reviews saying the cleaning was bad, but it seems to have improved! When I went, the bathroom, room, and bedding were all clean and I had no discomfort. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves in comfortable bedding made me feel relaxed. You can't hear traffic or shop noise nearby, so it's a really quiet place to rest well. The sunset over the nearby sea was also really pretty 🤭

Good location, there are hot water, drinks and snack vending machines, and a ramen vending machine on the first floor, and the sound of the waves is great... but there were too many hairs. There was also a lot of dust. The floor was covered in marks... It looks like the cleaning was not done properly. I went with a child and I developed an allergic reaction.

Off-season price, same level of quality.

I travel to Gangneung often, and among recent places I've used, this had the highest satisfaction for the price. Parking is good, and unmanned check-in is convenient. Above all, it's right in front of the beach so the view is amazing — even just sitting on the bed looking at the sea, I felt glad we came 🥹 On trips I've stayed at places with only one chair or a table that's too low, which is inconvenient, but here there were chairs and a table suitable for eating, so we could comfortably eat squid sausage and mulhoe bought at the market (definitely try the crispy nurungji sausage!! lol). Finally, Anmok Beach and Songjeong Beach are right in front, so you can enjoy the sea comfortably without worrying about driving or parking. Highly recommend walking along the beach~~ I want to bring my mom next time.
