Jun Motel Sinchon (Seodaemun)

Right after check-in there were a few strands of hair and some curly fur on the mattress that hadn’t been used, so I wondered whether the bedding had been changed. The bathroom was fairly clean and it wasn’t bad for one night. I think you should pay more attention to cleanliness.

The owner was friendly, the room was comfortable, and the soundproofing was good.

It was good. It's perfect for staying near Hongdae. The first-floor room has a threshold between the bathroom and the room, which can be dangerous if you have been drinking. The soundproofing is poor; room noise can be heard in the hallway (I tested it myself). It's slightly dated, but the staff were very kind.

This place is amazing. It's hard to find accommodation like this in Seoul at this price. Thank you.

Clean and the location was great. It was quiet, but I was disappointed by some hairs being left behind and the air conditioner being very noisy. It may vary by room, but the remote control buttons are unresponsive, so I think it would be good to replace it!

I visited because of the good reviews, but to get straight to the point, I was very disappointed with the cleanliness and service. There were not only hairs left in the room, but also small bugs. I am attaching photos along with the towel provided to show that they were found inside the room. Even if they are not harmful pests, as a guest it was unpleasant. There was a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom drain, which made it difficult to use the bathroom the whole time. If the owner sees this, please consider installing a drain trap. It does not cost much but would greatly help block odors and harmful sewer insects. The most disappointing part was the way it was handled. I told an older female staff member at the front desk about the issue, but instead of apologizing she responded curtly as if dealing with a troublesome guest. I have stayed at many properties nationwide, and even when facilities were old, many places were kept clean and managed kindly so the stay was pleasant. This place has nice interior design, but the basics of cleanliness and service mindset, which are fundamental to lodging, must be improved.

There were too many gnats.

Very clean, affordable, and I would visit again.
