Gangneung Gyeongpo Hotel Economy

Clean, quiet, and very comfortable ;^^

The owner was kind, but there was a somewhat uncomfortable experience during the process of checking the number of guests during the stay. Personally, I felt a bit uneasy and it left me disappointed.

This was a last-minute booking, but I expected basic maintenance based on the rating and reviews. The staff were polite and the check-in instructions were fine. However, I was disappointed with the overall condition of the room from the moment I entered. 1. The room felt very humid and musty as if there had been no ventilation. I ended up keeping the window open for the entire stay. 2. The bathroom door would not close properly. At first I put up with it, but the inconvenience became worse so I complained after a few hours and checked other available rooms with a staff member. Other rooms were not much different. They said they would check again the next day and move me if a better room was available, but since the rooms we had already checked showed no real difference, I decided to stay in the same room. 3. During a multi-night stay I requested housekeeping, but used amenities were not fully replenished. It felt like even basic room maintenance was not being done properly. 4. Soundproofing was almost nonexistent; conversations and private noises from other rooms could be heard loudly for long periods. The basic environment for rest, which is essential for a lodging, was not guaranteed at all. Even for an inexpensive place, basic facility checks and room maintenance should be in place. The staff response was the only good thing; the actual stay was very disappointing.

The accommodation was clean and nice. Parking was convenient, and they allowed us to park in advance, so we were able to hang out near Kyeongpodae from the afternoon. The bedding was soft, everything was new and clean, and we rested well.

This is my second visit~ I'm satisfied every time I come~^^
