I visited on the weekend with my dog and the Kensington Resort Chungju Deluxe Pet room exceeded my expectations. The room had been renovated so it was clean and fairly spacious, giving plenty of room for the family and our dog to relax. Pet-specific items like a non-slip slide, dog bed, bowls, potty pads, and an air purifier were well provided, so we did not need to bring much. Our dog adapted comfortably. The resort is surrounded by nature, great for walks, and the air was fresh—perfect for healing and relaxation. The biggest advantage was being able to spend time with my dog without feeling self-conscious. The room was overall well maintained and the bedding was comfortable, so we rested well. If you are planning a trip with your pet, I can confidently recommend the Kensington Chungju Deluxe Pet room. I would love to visit again with my dog.

The staff are friendly and the dogs are cute, but many facilities are quite worn. There was a trash bag left in front of the room, which was a bit off-putting.

We upgraded the accommodation and had one double bed and two single beds. The building looks aged but the facilities were clean. Maybe because it was a Sunday evening there were not many visitors, and we enjoyed a quiet time in the mountains. The bed was comfortable and nice! If you are sensitive about beds, it should be fine. Central heating. The playground is large; it was spacious enough to reserve for private play. Breakfast is buffet only on Sundays; on weekdays you choose between ugeoji haejangguk (savoy cabbage hangover soup) and dried pollack soup as a Korean set meal, and the ugeoji haejangguk is delicious.

Overall, I am satisfied. I had booked a non-renewal room but they upgraded me to a renovated room, and the front desk staff are friendly. The accommodation is clean and nice. However, maybe because it is on a mountain, there is a bit of draft. Anyway, I rested well. If the weather warms up next time, I intend to visit again with my dog.

I wrapped up the year meaningfully at Chungju Kensington. I think this is the best pet-friendly accommodation. The weather was a bit cold, but we enjoyed charcoal barbecue and visited nearby Neungam Oncheon, the Finnish sauna, Neungamgol Garden Neungi Baeksuk, and did a food tour around Jungangtap Park. It was truly fulfilling and very relaxing. I am 100% willing to revisit.
