Other than being good for weekend party-goers, you should lower your expectations about things like the beds in the lodging.

I spent a 3-night, 4-day trip with my daughter and two parrots. The sea is close by and there are restaurants nearby, so it was convenient. The hotel was clean and the rooftop was great. We could make bread, drinks, and fried eggs ourselves, and we could cook and eat ramen too, and being open 24 hours made it even better.

Since the pet regulations changed in March this year making pet-friendly restaurants uncertain, you can bring takeout and comfortably eat while your dog plays! 3. If your takeout or delivery runs out, you can get food 24 hours at the snack bar (Hangang ramen, cup ramen, Hetbahn instant rice, odeng, toast, fried egg, boiled eggs, various snacks, various drinks), which was great. 4. Dog amenities available (two types of snacks, lactose-free milk, beef treats, pork treats). 5. Allergy-friendly bedding is a bit crinkly — unavoidable. (People who own pets know that when hair sheds you want bedding that resists hair embedding.) 6. Every Saturday at 8 PM they hold a small party; couples, friends, or spouses who like drinking would really enjoy it. (Vodka, cocktails, highballs unlimited for 2 hours) *No participation fee. 7. I was worried after reading a review that said the motel had been remodeled, but the interior was very neat and really clean; I couldn’t tell if there was any loud noise. 8. The owner and his wife were extremely kind, so check-in started off pleasantly. 9. The resident dogs are so gentle, cute, and well-behaved — you can pet them endlessly. I have so much more I want to say, but it really felt like a choice I would never regret!!!! From the dog amenities to playing games and winning prizes, plus unlimited cocktails for 2 hours.. All of the owners were friendly, and it was nice that both small and large dogs could run and play. The rooftop, open 24 hours, was especially memorable, and the bedding was comfortable so we slept well. The dog treats they carefully prepared were loved by our dog!

This is the best among pet-friendly hotels! There are no restrictions for large dogs, and even though we checked in late they welcomed us kindly. The facilities are excellent and the snack bar is top-notch..! The rooftop has both indoor and outdoor areas open, which was great, and we had a wonderful time playing with our dog.

Pros 1. Close to Sokcho beach 2. The owners and staff are friendly 3. Pet-friendly atmosphere 4. Not like other places where side dishes are provided, but there is a self-serve bar with various things to eat 5. Clean condition inside the room 6. It is a dog-friendly lodging and a remodeled older motel, so I went in accepting that external soundproofing would be poor. I could hear other rooms' doors opening and thought I would not sleep well, but maybe because everyone hung out on the rooftop, I could not hear dogs barking and it was quiet for days, which was touching Cons 1. The bed frame squeaks a lot 2. Allergy-care bedding makes a rustling sound almost like a plastic bag 3. Because of the above two reasons I had restless sleep for several nights 4. There are not many tables on the rooftop, and since it was winter it was inconvenient to sit crowded together inside rather than outside 5. It snowed a little, and either due to cleaning or poor drainage on the roof, water did not drain for days and it was soggy 6. The biggest issue: because it is pet-friendly there is no restriction on large dogs, so when large dogs just play around small dogs can get seriously hurt. Although it is a pet-friendly place for small dogs, you cannot relax bringing small dogs; you must keep a close eye on them and carry them. There are more restrictions for small dogs than for the lodging, and I met many large dogs here. The rooftop is not a large space and not enough to separate small and medium-large dogs, so instead of letting small dogs walk on the rooftop it is better to go outside; that makes small-dog owners feel more at ease. 7. The companion fee is 30,000 won for small dogs, which feels more expensive than other places. It might be better to raise the room rate slightly and include pets in the base price. The provided pad is really bad, so I wish they would lower the pet fee and not give the poor pad while still providing pet treats or supplies. Also, because there is a rooftop, unlike a pension there are no cooking facilities in the room, which has pros and cons. As mentioned above, you cannot cook much besides instant noodles and fried eggs. Instant noodles must be cooked on an induction cooker in a square ramen container. Spicy fish stew or similar dishes are not allowed, so if you plan to eat packaged raw fish please note that. Thank you for the stairs you provide, but they are too low; the step difference with the bed is large so small dogs keep tumbling. It is dangerous, so if you are worried about patellar issues please bring your own ramp or steps. I come to Sokcho often, and like some other reviewers said, this place feels more convenient for large dogs than for small dogs.

The owner was very kind and the dog treats were great lol. There were also lots of items at the self-service bar~ I plan to go again.
