Tomonoya Signature Ryokan Namhae

I think it was room A501... One side of the bathroom blind is missing, so I couldn't shower comfortably worrying someone outside might see. Please install a blind on the other side for the next guest. Everything else was good.

The food was tasty, the atmosphere was nice, and I enjoyed the hinoki bath. However, the fried items seemed pre-made and were soggy and cold, and even though we closed everything, many bugs came in from somewhere and kept us from sleeping well.

A three-generation trip! With a 22-month-old, having breakfast and dinner provided is really convenient. We brought a high chair, but it was great that there was a dining table where we could seat and feed the baby. All rooms have an ocean view — great!

I booked this for my parents because they were going to Namhae. Since they like bathing, I thought this place would be perfect. The bathroom with the hinoki bath was truly excellent. (I figured mosquitoes are unavoidable..) They liked both the dinner and the breakfast. The enzyme treatment was 40,000 won per person but they enjoyed it. (They said they were given a refreshing tea afterward.) The view from the room was also very nice. Overall they were satisfied with the facilities and the staff's service. (When they arrived, the toilet was broken so they had to change rooms, but the staff switched them quickly) One downside: there seemed to be only two staff members, and they contact guests via mobile phone numbers. Because there is no room phone, calling a mobile can take a bit longer, but calling by mobile is not necessarily a bad thing. (They went to get the enzyme treatment at the reserved time but no staff were there) Also, the next morning when they called about a question at checkout, their call was not answered. Other than that, it was a great place with nothing to complain about. After Namhae they went to Busan; although the Busan lodging was similar, they kept talking about this place for a while. They seem to want to go again, so if they visit Namhae next time they will probably book here 👍

Clothes, towels, room smell — only the call center was friendly.

Very clean and friendly; we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. Will definitely return 100%.

Dinner was really delicious. There was plenty of meat, and the broth tasted good. The view outside the lodging was also excellent and very pleasant. Separate from that, the building maintenance was disappointing. This is not a cheap place, but it was unhygienic. There were stains that should have been removable and foreign substances in a bottle that had broth in it, which was an unacceptable level of cleanliness. Also, there was no curtain in the bathroom. Only the rod remained, so it seems there used to be one but it was not replaced after falling. I was worried someone outside might see and washed while anxious. I have stayed at many places domestically and abroad, and this was the most disappointing lodging for the price.

Overall it felt poorly maintained.

The meal portions are large. We were a bit more disappointed than we expected. We added extra bedding for the kids, but it had a damp smell and a dog smell :(

My wife and I came to relax; the dinner and breakfast portions were adequate and tasty. We enjoyed the hinoki bath as well. It was a satisfying stay.
