voco Seoul Myeongdong, an IHG Hotel

The staff were friendly and the cleaning was done neatly. Namdaemun Market is right in front, and the surroundings are good for outings. I went with my parents and they said we should come again next time haha

I was traveling in Seoul with kids, so it needed to be close to public transportation and convenient to use, and the hotel location was excellent. The bus stop was right in front of the hotel, and it was close to Shinsegae Department Store and Hoehyeon Station, so it was convenient to get around. I was a little worried because the breakfast area looked a bit small, but there was a good variety and it tasted great, so I'm really glad we chose to include breakfast. We checked in late so the room view only showed the police station, which was disappointing, but the room itself was nice so it wasn't a big deal ^^

Because we arrived at Seoul Station, we walked along Seoullo 7017 for a nighttime stroll on the way. It was really close and great for a walk. There is a braised cutlassfish alley nearby and Myeongdong was okay to walk to. We didn't have time to go up Namsan, but the pre-dawn Namsan view visible from the hotel window was more than satisfying. - The location was excellent. - The bed was a Simmons Beautyrest and I think a goose duvet; the bed was so comfortable I slept like a log and felt refreshed even though I didn't sleep much. - We expected breakfast to be crowded so we arrived early, and it was quiet. The menu was really varied. - The pool had no chlorine smell and the depth was fine. The only downside was that there was no spin dryer. Overall: it was really comfortable and great!

It was great because it was right in front of Namdaemun Market.

The first room assigned to me smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke it gave me a headache, so I changed rooms. I confirmed that the new room would have a Namsan view before moving. Although it was the next room over on the same line, the rear building completely blocked the Namsan view. Of course it was a low floor so it had a direct view of the back building. I had specifically booked and paid extra for a Namsan view... they should at least refund the Namsan view surcharge in cases like this. I was annoyed the whole trip and kept the curtains closed.

Had a good night and left.

First of all, the location is excellent. You can walk to Namsan Cable Car, Namdaemun Market, Sungnyemun, and Myeongdong within 10 minutes. Each hotel staff member was very kind and the room condition was good. Even people sensitive about cleanliness can stay comfortably without worry. Next time I choose accommodation, I will book this without hesitation. I only have good memories from my 2-night stay.

1. View: I was on the 7th floor and could see Namsan Tower, which made me happy! If you are on a higher floor, you can enjoy the view even more! 2. Room: Very clean, and the bed was soft and comfortable. The sofa was spacious, so it was enough for three adult women to stay! 3. Bathroom: The bathroom is a bit small. It was fine for washing, but it might be somewhat cramped for families with babies when bathing them! 4. Breakfast: There was not an enormous variety, but there were quite a few Korean dishes and bibimbap had many topping options. I love bread, so I was happy there were many pastries!

The location is good and the food tastes great. I will probably use it again next time.

The location is really good. The front desk staff were friendly, and because there were many foreigners, there was a considerable wait time for check-in and check-out. There are disposable slippers but no bathroom slippers, and the carpeted floor made that a bit uncomfortable.
