I always have a great stay here. I really like it.
It seems other reviews were about a different motel. I was on a one-day business trip to Cheongju and booked with a special event rate. At first they said it would be an upgrade, but when I went in the cigarette smell was very strong. Even after I told them the smoke smell was awful, they said because it was a special rate they could only assign the room they had, and that the room was a smoking room so I should be understanding. Understanding of what? They say the owner is friendly, but they really were not—their tone was off as well. I can understand old room fixtures, but the smoke smell was so bad I had to spray odor remover and sleep with a mask on. The room had Netflix like other motels, and additionally there was a computer and a styler, which was at least okay. If there had been no styler, my clothes would have been soaked in smoke smell. There was an air purifier, but do not turn it on. When we tried it, the cigarette smell only got worse. If they had stated in advance that it was a smoking room, I would have gone to a different motel. This was the worst motel I have stayed at recently.

Terrible!!! When I said I booked through Yanolja, they frowned and made me stand with heavy luggage for a long time. They said there would be breakfast, and I was afraid they would think I had left if I removed the key, so I left the card I had inserted and went out. Then the staff snapped and asked if I had done that and left, and yelled, "If I did that, that's not okay!!!" When I apologized, they blamed me for going out last night even though I hadn't, making a huge fuss. I used valet parking but they didn't tell me in advance, so I wandered around asking and when I found out it had gone to the underground parking they scowled and said it in a rude way — unbelievable!!! The thin male front desk clerk with glasses made the whole morning really unlucky. They treat guests like servants — I put up with a lot. If you sort by lowest ratings, there are many comments about rudeness.
I rested comfortably and left.
The computer specs are better than what was listed in the room details. Satisfied.
