It was my first time experiencing a five-star hotel, and nothing was lacking. A tip for guests: I recommend bringing your own toiletries and body wash/shower towel. Breakfast was neat, tidy, and delicious. I recommend the first seating; the second seating gets crowded.
The front desk staff are extremely friendly— they were the best. 😭
I like the swimming pool. This was my second visit; I stopped by briefly.
It is fairly clean. The location is good for getting around, and the parking is quite convenient.

The best choice that was worth every penny! My wife and I made happy memories and left content. I took a big step and booked Novotel Ambassador Dongdaemun, and it turned out to be a complete success. To be honest, I hesitated at first because the price was on the higher side, but I wanted to get away from our routine and create special memories with my beloved wife, so I decided to go for it. Throughout our stay, I kept thinking, "I’m so glad we came." It felt like receiving a gift of value and happiness beyond the price. From the moment we entered the hotel, the staff’s warm and friendly welcome made us feel truly taken care of. The room was spotless and comfortable, and the modern, sophisticated decor made my wife light up like a child the moment she stepped in, saying how beautiful it was. Just sitting together and chatting while looking out at the wide city view through the floor-to-ceiling windows seemed to wash away all our fatigue. The highlight of this stay was undoubtedly the food. I usually have high expectations for hotel restaurants and buffets, and this place exceeded them. You could tell every ingredient was fresh, and the menu selection was so well done that there wasn’t a single dish we didn’t enjoy. Every dish suited our tastes perfectly, and my wife kept saying, "This is delicious," as we savored a truly pleasant and satisfying meal. Seeing her so happy while eating made me feel proud that I made the bold decision to splurge. I felt no regret about the cost — the room condition, service, and the flawless food all came together for a perfect getaway. Thanks to that, we’ve filled a page in both our memories with warm, lasting smiles. We will definitely return for anniversaries, special occasions, or when we need real healing. Novotel Dongdaemun gave us the best day, and I highly recommend it!
All the staff are friendly, and the rooms are very clean and nice! If you want to travel around Jongno or Dongdaemun, this is perfect! The Executive Lounge left unforgettable memories — such a lovely place haha. I want to visit again!

I have used this hotel for years and my requests are always well accommodated, and the rooms are kept very clean so I am satisfied. I recommend it to friends and everyone likes it. This time I had lunch with relatives on the 20th floor and it was fine. Personally I prefer the breakfast. I will use it again. Thanks to the staff!

The indoor/outdoor rooftop pool, fitness center, sauna, and Kids’ Zone are closed on the first Tuesday of every month. (However, the operating hours and closure dates of these facilities are subject to change without prior notice depending on hotel conditions.)

Fitness Center: 6:00 AM–10:00 PM
Kids’ Zone: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
The outdoor rooftop pool will be open starting April 3, 2026. (Closed during the winter season.)
The operation status and hours of the outdoor rooftop pool are subject to change depending on weather conditions or hotel circumstances.
As the changing rooms are small, we recommend changing and showering in your guest room.
Admission to the outdoor rooftop pool is limited to guests aged 19 and older; admission to the fitness center is limited to guests aged 16 and older.
The indoor and outdoor rooftop pools, as well as the Kids’ Zone, operate on a reservation-only basis, and guests may enter only once per day. (Choose either the indoor or outdoor pool.)
Swim caps or hats must be worn when using the pool.
Inflatable tubes and water toys are prohibited in the pool (life jackets, arm floats, and neck floats are permitted).
Infants under 36 months must wear waterproof diapers.
