It was great — a place I want to go again. The bed was comfortable and the night view was lovely, hehe.

I experienced service that made it hard to call this a 5-star hotel. I visited during the late-May holiday, and one of the two rooms I reserved was not ready, so my pregnant wife, my two elderly parents, our child, and I had to wait together in one room for over three hours. When I went to pick up the keys after 5:00 PM, an absurd situation occurred. Due to a lack of communication between staff, the room assigned to me had been given to another guest, and the second room was not available for check-in until around 5:30 PM. None of the requests I had made by phone in advance were honored. Both of the rooms we were given were in a serious state of cleanliness. There were fingerprints and nasal mucus on the window, unidentified tissues and hairs on the sofa, and coffee cups and wine glasses left unwashed with residue still in them. Despite requesting a humidifier and air purifier three times, we only received them after waiting more than three hours. The attitude of the staff member who handled our check-in was also very unpleasant. The explanation that “it was busy because the hotel was nearly full for the holiday” is unacceptable. Guests pay peak-season rates, so the level of service not matching that price is inexcusable. As a paying customer who purchased a membership worth 1.1 million KRW and booked an additional room costing over 400,000 KRW, I leave disappointed every time I visit Novotel Suites Yongsan—this is my third visit and it has only caused disappointment.
It was convenient.
