Gwangju Chungjang-ro Phares Hotel

I had a great time when I went to Gwangju.

Everything is good except that the soundproofing doesn't work.

The facilities are nice, clean, and the staff are friendly. The price is low and it's really good. I had a good rest.

I booked because it was cheap and close to downtown, and they provided plenty of amenities so I had no inconvenience. They said they had remodeled so it was clean. Other than that, everything was great. I could leave luggage ahead of time, and having checkout at 12:00 was perfect.

I think it's fine just for sleeping, but the overall facilities need a lot of improvement.

The photos were taken before checkout in the morning, so please note the bedding wasn't tidied haha. We stayed one night with my child for a Gwangju trip. It is located in the heart of Chungjang-ro, so it was convenient for shopping streets and restaurants. You can feel the age, but it seems well maintained. The air conditioning works well and the water pressure is fine. However, after midnight the guests in the next room were noisy and singing, and I could hear everything. The soundproofing doesn't seem very good. Still, the price is cheap and the value is good, so I am satisfied.

It's a shame OTT wasn't available, but the room is spacious and the soundproofing is good.

I had a good rest. The hotel is very nice.

When I turn on the air conditioner there is a bit of a smell and the building exterior is a little old.. For the price, it's not bad. Also, the biggest advantage is that it's in the heart of the commercial area, so it's perfect for eating, drinking, and having fun. You don't have to worry at all about drunk driving, haha This makes up for all the drawbacks~ Had a great time.
