Jogyesa Temple

A central temple of Korean Buddhism that hosts exhibitions and other events. The five-hundred-year-old Lacebark Pine, Natural Monument No. 9, can be found in the courtyard, while a seven-story stone pagoda built in 1930 stands in front of the temple. The First Cultural Education Center, located next to the bell tower, hosts a variety of cultural events including weddings, seminars, lectures, plays, and music festivals. The splendid lantern festival and the night view from the courtyard are well-known, and nearby tourist attractions such as Gyeongbokgung Palace and Insadong draw both domestic and international visitors.
