Fascinating art museum that renovates a former underground bunker to showcase exhibits
Impressive space named 'Seoul's Future Heritage'
The exhibition hall was converted from an emergency bunker discovered during the construction of the Yeouido Transit Center. The entrance has a stepped glass structure that gives the impression that you are entering an underground world, and the existing space has been preserved as much as possible to create a unique atmosphere. A range of exhibits can be found as you go downstairs.
Great places to enjoy cultural activities indoors
A place used as a secret facility to protect the president at the time. The 'bodyguard waiting room' is now an exhibition space featuring photographs, videos, and contemporary art, while the 'VIP room' is a history gallery displaying materials related to the bunker's history. The museum is also connected to the IFC Mall in Yeouido, making it an excellent shopping destination after a day of culture.
